USE OF COURTS
The Company has insurance cover against normal risks. A copy of the current Insurance
Policy is available upon written request to the Company Treasurer
HOURS OF BUSINESS
- The Squash Court building will be open between the hours of 6:00 am and midnight daily
- Play on courts will be permitted from 6:15 am to 11:45 pm daily
- Final playing period 11:00 pm to 11:45 pm. At 11:15pm all lights are switched off automatically
COURT FEES
It is not permitted to use the courts without lights or without payment
BOOKING OF COURTS
- Courts may be booked at a charge to be prescribed by the Directors in their absolute discretion from time to time
- Courts can be booked by means of a computerized booking system and observing the rules of the computerized booking system
as setby the Directors. Members must have sufficient funds within their accounts to make such a booking
- The Directors reserve the right to book one or both courts for Club nights, matches and any other occasions
which are considered by the Directors to be appropriate (for example periods reserved for use by local
schools and for junior coaching)
- Maximum continuous booking period per member shall be one period of 45 minutes
JUNIOR MEMBERS
- Restricted hours 8:30 am to 5:30 pm inclusive Monday to Friday only. Play is permitted at other times
only when playing with a full member,
- Junior members over 16 years old on 1st October may be admitted to the Squash leagues. Admission to the leagues
for junior members up to 16 years old shall be at the absolute discretion of the Directors
- Unaccompanied juniors for safety reasons, no child up to 16 years old on lst October last may
play without adult supervision at all times
- Junior coaching may be organised at such times and on such terms as the Directors may
decide from time to time and shall only be available to Junior members
- CORPORATE MEMBERS Corporate members are permitted to play on the squash courts between 8:30 am
to 6:15pm inclusive (the 5:30 court being the last court bookable) Monday to Friday only
VISITORS
- a) A visitor may be introduced by a member for a maximum of six times per annum
Only one visitor may be introduced in any one playing period
- A visitor fee is payable, being determined by the Directors in their absolute discretion
from time to time. The fee is payable on each occasion. To cover this charge an
additional booking fee must be purchased
COURT TIMES
- Court times will be governed by the clock located in the gallery
- Members are required to vacate courts immediately at the termination of
the booked period if other members are waiting
DRESS
- Dress should be SRA approved
- Shoes - clean indoor court shoes that have NOT been worn outside must be worn on court
- Ball - SRA approved non-marking balls only may be used on court
- Dark racket heads should be taped
CHANGING ROOMS
Members are required to keep the changing rooms tidy, to use the floor mop if required, and to
switch off lights, fans, turn all taps off and close all windows before leaving
SECURITY
- Members, guests, licensees or visitors, must take all reasonable precautions against loss or damage
arising at the Squash Club building and take all valuables on to court
- Players are requested to ensure that the main door of the Squash Court Building is closed after
entry or departure
- The last members using the courts each day are requested to ensure that all windows
are secure, all lights out and the main door securely fastened in the Squash Court Building
FIRST AID
A first aid cabinet is situated on the wall in the gallery of the Squash Court building
FIRE PRECAUTION
- Fire extinguishers are available in the gallery, and in the hall of the Squash Court building
- No smoking is permitted in the Squash Court building
Fobs
- Fobs can be replaced at a charge from the Company Secretary, such charge to be
determined by the Directors in their absolute discretion from time to time
- The fob is a key to the Squash Court building and care is requested so
as to ensure security of the Squash Court building is maintained
- Fobs are issued on the basis of one per member and one per individual
in the case of Family Membership or Corporate Membership) Company Directors and officers are
entitled to ask members for proof of membership when in or around the Squash Court building
CAR PARK AND BAR
Members must observe the Rules of the Gerrards Cross Community Association at all times
including Rules relating to the use of the car park and bar. Copies of the Rules are available upon written
request from the Company Secretary
LOSS OR DAMAGE
All members, guests, invitees, visitors and others using the property and facilities provided
by the Company, including the Squash Court Building, or the squash courts do so entirely at
their own risk and all members, guests, invitees and others entering the Squash Court building or
using or being in the Squash Court building or the courts do so entirely at their own risk and the
Company and its directors, officers, servants or agents shall not be responsible for any loss or
damage sustained by or to any such person or player whatsoever, whensoever and howsoever
arising excepting any liability for physical and personal injury or death as may be shown to have
been caused by the negligence or breach of statutory duty by the Company, its directors, officers,
servants or agents (or any kind of liability which, form time to time, cannot be limited or excluded
under English law)
